Did I miss something? Do you live in Montana? If so, where? Wyoming and Montana are my two favorite states. I've been going to Wyoming for years.

Yes, we live in Montana, and it is incredible! We spent the first 2 1/2 years of our Montana experience, in a log house, in a canyon, on the Missouri River. Oh, it was the fulfillment of a longtime dream for us!

Bonnie, I'm glad Gil is innocent! I think everyone has enjoyed your stories so much. Maybe you could become a professional story teller. I would love to hear about the places you've been and lived. That's a shame about the babysitter taking your things. I guess your lucky she didn't do more damage.Somedays our job is so stressful-we put the cutest little house in Kings Mills on the mkt.on Thurs and all day yesterday we were negotiating a contract already, which I get real nervous and aggitated with but I just kept going to the site and reading & laughing and it helped the tension so much. Well, by Fri afternoon is was sold.I was so thankful because our friends/clients are missionaries in the Ukraine & I just wanted it to work out for them. God Blessed and it did!! So-Keep those stories coming,it's cheaper than Prozac!!

I told Owen last week that I was just going on vacation to Goody's.I love that store & I love Shoney's buffet. I guess it's kind of funny what we get used to.. I have lived with Shoney's and Goody's for a bunch of years...and kind of take them for granted. We eat at Shoney's often.. many tmes getting the soup and salad bar (whe we are trying to eat right.. not always). There is a Shoney's very near our home.. about 4 miles away. I have shopped in Goody's.. but don't realy like it.. they are kind of limited on my size "GIGANTIC".. so I usually find more selection at the Men's "Big and Tall,.. and Shouldn't Go Out In Public" store.

Chuck, You're Funny! See when I eat at Shoney's buffet,I stuff myself and feel quilty!! I belly up to the bar and "pig out". Does Big & Tall carry womens clothes? I need to go. But,I disagree with you-you looked just Great in your Pictures! I think that's another things I am looking forward to Heaven is a new body! I want a "10!!"
I think the story about Harmon is so sad. Apparently he was being raised by brothers & sisters,I heard that the police said they fired above his head but actually shot him in the head. That's what Roy said. Now,there's a guy with a great memory. He knows everybody & can tell you where all the relatives live/He is a guy with a "big heart" and has worked so hard on the reunion. I have learned thru this reunion how wonderful our classmates are,now that they're all growed up!!

Shoney's "is " the "Hog Heaven" of the South; we used to eat there all the time, in our little town of Lugoff, SC. I enjoyed Goody's, too. But we spent our southern living experience missing "Big Boys with Frisches' Tarter Sauce, and Barqs Cream Soda". As soon as we crossed the Kentucky River, we had to pull into the first Frisches, and have a fix. During one trip up to see the Cincy Reds play, Gil and my brother-in-law, Frank had arranged a little prank with the waitress, for my sister, Sue and I, while we were in the Ladies room. We plopped down into the booth beside our husbands, ready with our order...no need for a menu here, right? "I'll have a Big Boy, with onion rings, and a cup of chili", Sue announced. " Oh, I'm sorry mam', we aren't serving Big Boys today, we're completely out of our special tarter sauce, and the manager will not serve them without it". Sue and I looked at each other, in horror, as if the woman had pulled a gun, and said, "your money or your life". After a few stunned seconds had passed, Sue stated, "no mam', we're sorry, because we're leaving if you're not serving Big Boys."...and just like her faithful side-kick, I started to get up from the table with her...cause, if there's one thing I know, it's "when you're right, you're right! The waitress began to grin at the guys, who were just about to "lose it", in the restaurant. "Never, and I mean, Never, joke about Big Boys."

Carol, I was glad that Gil was innocent, too. It's not easy to sleep next to a person that you want to hurt... ;D I took a storytelling class as an advanced English course at USC. It was so much fun! The professor didn't do a whole lot of instructing; he just had us tell stories, and then he would critique us. He told me that he thought I could get stiphen assignments as a storyteller, but do you remember me up in front of the class in school? ...just like Don Knotts, in the Ghost and Mr Chicken, clearing his throat, paper rattling, voice shaking... Peeking back into my childhood, I remember that my mother's side of the family was loaded with storytellers. We'd sit around the table after dinner, at our family get-togethers, and the grown-ups would tell stories, and howl. My cousins would want me to go play, but I loved listening to the stories, and wouldn't leave until they were finished....another wonderful memory of my family, during the early years of my life...see, they're in there. Thank you all so much for allowing me this format, and for your encouragement. I love you all so much.(even that cousin of Elvis') Bonnie PS Speaking of "The Ghost and Mr Chicken", I went to the Town Hall theater with Dianne Haley to see it, and we ran into Chuck Peters, and Denny Money. The four of us hem-hawed around the candy counter, until we finally finagled things so that we sat together; you know, kind of an unspoken, unofficial date. Just one of life's little thrills that happen when you're in the 7th grade. Of course, we never spoke of it at school, or any other time...it was just one of those write-in-your-diary, spring-fling-one-time-things. ...Tell me you remember, Chuck! ;D

Bonnie, I can see your grandchildren sitting at your feet listening to your stories.I think -if nothing else-you should volunteer to read at the Library, schools, etc. You can't waste this God Given Talent!!I have a feeling that you can tell a tale with your words, face and whole body showing expression. Now I had real love of writing when I was little & I am probably the only one-in fact- I was afraid to tell it-but I LOVED Mr. Whitman!!That's Right-I said it!! I loved to hear him talk,he used interesting words & I would try to remember those words & use them.I never told many people but I wanted to pursue that area & I also wanted to go to College & be a school teacher. Unfortunately,my parents were the kind that think girls just get married & have babies so they don't need to go to college. Plus,my Dad was very sickly back then & we were certain that he was going on kidney dialysis & they just said NO MONEY!. I didn't know about student loans etc. So,I like to use flowery & expressive words when I write up our listings etc. Now the Town Hall Theater,That was a scary place. Was it not?? Just looking at those steps going down to the bathroom in the dungeon would make you pee your pants. I'd try not to drink while I was there. I remember sitting on the ledge out front waiting for parents to pick us up. I take my Grand babies to the Library & Ice Cream parlor in Leb. & we always stop & I put them up there for a minute. They like to put on a little performance for me. I applaud like mad!!I couldn't go to the movie w/o those carmel candies w/white powder in them-what are they called? Some vendor brings them into our office & everyone goes wild eating them.I always tell they remind me of going to the movies as a little girl. And what about the skating rink?I had a skating skirt that said "Let's Go Skating" and my Dad painted it on my skating box to match- Nuh NUH NUH what about that! I also remember a little handkerchief that had a little girl crying and it said "Don't cry over spilled milk" Well now that I think about it- I'm Pretty Special After All!! Love ya! Carol

See there, you are special!...and I know the best Grandma in the world! But, you totally lose me with the whole "Mr Whitman thing". Thelma and I had him our junior year, and as I said, writing was a punishment for me. ::)One afternoon, Thel and I made an "afternoon changing" discovery, apparently one of us had "squirreled away" one of those flat penny lollies, in our purse, for a rainy day. Well, rain or no rain, today was the day...only "how do we divide this thing quietly". One of us had a brilliant idea, we would simply put it deep within the pages of our big, thick literature book, and apply pressure. Well, all we got was a sucker stuck to the pages of the book, and we both were rapidly losing it when Mr. Whitman decided to stroll among the desks, and pass out papers. ;D Thel and I were just about to regain our composure, when a well meaning student asked, "Mr. Whitman, did you get your hair cut"? Thelma looked at me, and in a hoarse whisper mimicked, "no, his head is growing". We lost it again, however, Mr Whitman overheard her and commented, "why, thank you so much; it's nice to know you have friends". Well, that was it, all was lost for the rest of the class. ;D I've got to hand it to Mr Whitman though, he was a sport about the whole thing...I can't remember what we did about that sucker though....do you remember, Thel? So what are you saying, Chuck? Are you saying you don't remember our afternoon at the Town Hall with The Ghost and Mr Chicken?...hummmmmm? Is that what you're saying??? Does the fact that we shared a Nestles Crunch mean nothing to you? Does it??? Does Brenda, your wife, know just how insensitive you really are??? Hummmm? Well, DOES SHE? ..."Oh Chaalie, we're having our first quarrel"... (just call me Rosie)
