This is a good time to jump in here. Darlene you're 1 day older. But as I tell Carol, I'm older but much wiser. Does anyone remember, of course I'm going to tell on myself here, recess in S. Leb. We used to chase each other, get captured and put in the back basement entrance (sounds scarry now). The Sunset St gang Bonnie, Garry Neale, Mike West and others would play ball, tag, hide and seek and jump fences. Boy those were the days. Had to give up jumping fences a year ago or was that a light year ago? Chuck great job on this site. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Brenda, I’m so glad you are on this site now. I do remember playing tag and being put down those steps, I also remember it stunk down there. Are you coming to the reunion? I truly hope so.- Thelma

Thelma , It's not that I didn't want to. Time is short. Yes I am coming to the reunion. I was able to get on the site one other time. I really enjoyed reading but didn't have time to figure it out. Everyone has a different recolletion. I laughed till I cried. Brenda

Hi Brenda, I am so glad you found some time to join us. Do you So.Leb friends remember in the summer when it would cool off in the evening we'd come out & I remember playing King on the Mountain & meeting under the Lamp posts and camping outside, isn't it sad that it's not safe for our kids(grandkids) to run around the neighborhood & just play & catch lightning bugs.We justed played/no structure,no computers & video's just play, run, laugh!! We took our grandbabies to the Castle down in Loveland today & they thought it was so "cool". PS. Everyday I am getting word of more people sending in their money. It looks like a "blue light special" here at the end. I think we're going to have over 70 people & so much fun!!

Yes had fun at recess. Jumping for one set of hand rails to the other over those stairs. Also sliding down the support poles of that REAL TALL Slide lol at lest it was then. Jumping the teeter totters from one slot to the next. Seeing how far you could jump from the swings. Boy what fun the kids of today are missing lol.

Brenda?...Is this the Brenda Hodge that "claims" she's related to Elvis Presley?...hummmmm? So glad you could join us; maybe you could "croon a little tune" for us at the reunion. Whadaya say, or maybe show us a few of your "Elvis moves"....hummmmm? I cannot wait to see you...(and take my kick in the behind)...hummmmm? ;D I remember the wonderful summer evenings when we'd all go out and play in the dark; it was the best ! I tell my kids that I used to be a fast runner, (they try not to laugh, they really do) and that all the boys on my street wanted to race me, from the top of the hill, to the stop sign at the end of Sunset. The only one I couldn't beat was Mike West, and we always tied. (Don't worry Mike, I think you could probably beat me now.

Brenda, if you were laughing as you were reading, does that mean you forgive me for messing up your finger curls? I hope so! I think of you every year on January 26! I was looking through our 1971 Royal Guard and noticed a picture of you with the Drill Team on page 62. You look so beautiful in that picture, and I'll just bet a finger curl that you haven't changed a bit! See you at the reunion.

Brenda, I believe you if you say your related to Elvis, that's good enough for me...besides when I was having lunch with my cousin Oprah Winfrey she seems to recall that he does have a blood line with the Hodges.
I'm a believer Thelma ;D
